The Training Weekend
2009-05-27 20:235 mile run on Cateran trail on Friday night in storm conditions followed by Dinner and much fun.
Saturday everybody up like a lark for circuit of Cateran trail approximately 8 miles ,lead pack took the wrong trail and ended up on the opposite mountain ,had to backtrack and ended up with about 12 miles,the rest of us did about 10. Lunch rest then the challenge everybody had been waiting for "The Burning Bush 1 Mile Handicap Race".
Handicaps done by Bryan which created a good competitive finish with Mark just taking it on the line in a final sprint with Jo,we retired to the Hotel lounge where prizes were presented kindly donated by Erica.
Saturday night food,drink,darts and killer pool. Campbell won the darts and Bryan cleaned up the pool.
Sunday back on the trails 8 miles of torture through forestry commission paths .Left Glenisla about 1 PM stopped at Baxter's Auchterarder for lunch long enough to plan the next weekend. Every body agreed that it had been challenging weekend and different to what is usually offered.
