AGM, Relays and Party

After this week’s AGM, one longstanding member of the club has taken over from another as club President. Campbell Joss, who has been Secretary for 37 of his 40 years takes over from Donny Burke. Donny, also approaching 40 years of active membership, took over as President 4 years ago. At the time, the club was on the brink of extinction. The fact that he hands over to Campbell with the club in such good shape, is testament to his great work. Over the years Donny has also worked for  the Renfrewshire AAA. There was unanimous thanks from the floor for his great service.

There was also thanks for his fellow committee members who have made this year so successful, both athletically and socially. Campbell’s fellow committee members this year are Erica, Yvonne, David, Iain, Sharon and Neil. Iain is already busy recruiting members for the upcoming relays races – please let him know which races you can make.

Also, the Christmas party will be on Saturday 28^th November at the Baby Grand.
